Invader Zim ended up having a lot of things cut out from making it into the main serise, mainly due to it's early cancellation. However, a decent amount of it (the unfished scripted episodes for season two) had been animated and brought to life by the fans.

Door to Door Banned Scene

In the episode, Zim uses a virtual reality simulator to show a family of humans what would happen if they didn't by his chocolate bars. The scene originally depicted a burning city, but it was rewriten before it could air. Nickelodeon deemed the scene too similar to the 9/11 attacks, and so it was changed to what the scene currently is. Hampstergeddon was also held off from airing again, due to similar reasons.

Small Edit Speed Round

  • Certain characters such as Iggins and Keef were meant to be killed off, but Nickelodeon wouldn't allow it. They would be rewritten in a way that comedically represented their "deaths" to show their reluctance to the changes.
  • The original name for the Game Slave 2 was Game Slave Advanced, a reference to the Game Boy Advance console. Nintendo didn't seem to like the name as much, and threatened to sue Nick, thus the change to Game Slave 2.
  • Walk of Doom was supposed to end with Zim in a Mexican getto town with a banner reading "Welcome to Mexico". This was changed, as Nick feared it could come off as racist.
  • Dark Harvest was going to be aired with Bestest Friends, but Nick didn't like the idea of such a gruseome episode being aired with Bestest Friends.
  • Dark Harvest was originally going to be nammed "The Heart's and Lungs of Zim's Darkness"

Unfinished Season 2 Episodes

By the time season 2 was going to be cancelled multipule scripts had been written, some of them were even fully voice acted. Fans of the show would end up coming together to reanimate some of the episodes for new and old fans to enjoy.
